Skyway Holdings, Inc. — Privacy & Communication Policy
Last updated: 10.20.2025
1. Overview
Skyway Holdings, Inc. (“Skyway,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information in connection with our websites (including www.skywayholdings.com and any domains that forward to it, such as mdstruckingv.com), and our operational communications (phone, email, and SMS) across our business units, including MDS Trucking V, Inc. and Skyway Brokerage, Inc.
2. Scope & Covered Entities
This policy applies to Skyway Holdings, Inc. as the holding company and to its operating brands unless a business unit publishes a separate policy on its own site. In the absence of a separate policy, this document governs.
3. Information We Collect
We collect only the information necessary to provide transportation, brokerage, and related services, including:
- Identification & contact details (name, company, phone, email)
- Driver information (e.g., CDL, endorsements, medical card status, hiring/onboarding records)
- Load and shipment data (routing, pickup/delivery times, proofs of delivery)
- Safety, compliance, and insurance documents (COIs, carrier packets, authority, inspections)
- Telematics/ELD and dashcam data (e.g., GPS location, HOS status, diagnostics, safety video) provided by our ELD/telematics vendors
- Account, billing, or payment coordination details (if applicable)
- Communication records (calls, texts, emails) needed to coordinate operations
4. How We Use Information
We use information to operate and improve our services, including dispatching and coordinating loads, onboarding carriers and drivers, meeting compliance and safety obligations, maintaining records, and communicating with customers, carriers, and drivers. We do not sell or rent personal information for marketing.
We may share limited driver and vehicle information (such as driver name, contact number, truck or trailer number, and license plate) with customers, shippers, or receivers as part of standard load coordination and delivery verification. This sharing is limited to what is operationally necessary to complete the transportation service.
5. Road Assistance Communication (Phone, Email, SMS)
Our personnel communicate with drivers by phone, email, and SMS strictly for road assistance and safety-related purposes. These communications may include updates regarding breakdowns, emergency support, tow coordination, repair instructions, safety guidance, or follow-up when previous attempts to reach the driver have gone unanswered. SMS is never used for marketing or promotional purposes.
During the onboarding process, office staff request the driver’s consent to receive road assistance SMS messages.
If the driver responds “Yes,” staff provide the required disclosure:
“By providing your phone number, you agree to receive SMS road assistance messages from MDS Trucking V. Message frequency may vary. Standard message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out. Reply HELP for help. We do not share mobile information with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes.”
Once the driver verbally accepts, the phone number is recorded, and a confirmation SMS is automatically sent:
“You have agreed to receive SMS road assistance messages from MDS Trucking V. Msg freq may vary. Std msg & data rates apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.”

We may use email to share service updates or marketing information with subscribers or business contacts who have opted in or with whom we have an established business relationship. Such emails include an unsubscribe option and our physical address. We do not use SMS for marketing.
7. Systems & Third-Party Processors (Provider-Agnostic)
To operate efficiently and securely, we use industry-recognized systems. Depending on the business unit and use case, these may include:

- Government portals and agencies (e.g., FMCSA, Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse, state DMVs) for required filings and checks
- ELD/telematics and dashcam providers for HOS, GPS, diagnostics, and safety video (vendor may vary by fleet)
- Payment processing platforms such as Stripe for secure online payments from customers or drivers when applicable
- Standard business communications (email, phone/PBX) and document exchange tools
Each third-party service maintains its own privacy and security program. We retain only the limited information necessary for operations, accounting, safety, and legal compliance.
8. Carrier Compliance Platforms (Brokerage)
Skyway Brokerage may use third-party compliance services—such as SaferWatch, Highway, or MyCarrierPackets—to verify carrier safety, insurance, and operating authority. These platforms are used solely for onboarding and compliance and operate under their own privacy policies.
9. Cookies & Browsing Data
Our sites may use cookies and similar technologies to support core functionality and understand site usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Server logs may capture non-identifying information (e.g., browser type, domain, pages visited) to maintain and improve the site.
